Dear Collaborators, Solar activity is at a moderate level. Yesterday's target NOAA 13511 has produced only three low-to-mid C-class flares since the last message. The largest event in the period is an M1.6 flare from a currently unnumbered active region on the North East limb (N18E77) at 06:39 UT today. This region was also the source of more than ten C-class flares and will be the default target region. More C-class flares are expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance of additional M-class activity. The approximate position of this region on 5-Dec-2023 at 12:30 UT is: N18E73, (-886" , 299") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, De-Chao Song (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
