Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has remained at an intermediate level since the last message. NOAA 13514 produced several C-class flares, the largest being a C5.5 at 21:12 UT yesterday. NOAA 13514 is currently classified as a beta-gamma-delta type region. The Major Flare Watch will be extended for a further 24 hours as NOAA 13514 begins its transit of the northwest limb, with a slight chance for an isolated >M5 event. The position of NOAA 13514 on 16-Dec-2023 at 12:30 UT is: N05W75, (938", 89") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
