Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has slightly diminished since the last message. NOAA 13590 produced several flares, the largest being an M2.1 at 16:47 UT yesterday. NOAA remains classified as a beta-gamma-delta type region and now has an area of 1450 μh. This region appears to be showing a reduction in flux and number of associated spots. However, due to the sustained complexity and substantial area of NOAA 13590, the Major Flare Watch will be extended for a further 24 hours, with a chance for isolated >M5 activity. The position of NOAA 13590 on 26-Feb-2024 at 12:30 UT is: N18W20, (316",406") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
