Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity was at a high level in the past 24 hours. The largest event was an M6.7 flare at 19:02 UT yesterday produced by the target region, now numbered as NOAA 13615 that has a beta-gamma/E-type configuration. 13615 also produced an M1.4 flare at 02:24 UT today and more than ten C-class flares. At this moment we are implementing the MM#003 Major Flare Watch on this region. Low M-class flares are expected with a chance of an additional flare above M5 in the next few days. The position of NOAA 13615 on March 19 at 12:30 UT is: S12E55 (-773", -132") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
