Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has continued at an intermediate level since the last message. NOAA 13615 has produced a substantial number of flares over the last 24 hours, the largest being an M1.9 at 00:28 UT today. NOAA 13615 has continued to grow in area to 1120 μh and retains its beta-gamma-delta configuration. Given the size, complexity, and significant number of events from NOAA 13615, the Major Flare Watch will continue. Additional C- and M-class activity is expected, with a chance for an isolated >M5 event in the next 24-48 hours. The position of NOAA 13615 on 26-Mar-2024 at 12:30 UT is: S13W34, (525",-123") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Harry Greatorex (Queen's University Belfast) |
