Dear Collaborators, The level of solar activity is very low. The largest event was an occulted C1.2 flare at 18:51 UT on 1-Apr-2024 produced by a southwest region (S26W87, maybe NOAA 13559). This region also produced a B8.7 flare yesterday. The target region NOAA 13625 seemed not to produce any flare in the period but its EUV images show relatively dynamic activity today. 13625 maintains a beta/D-type configuration in proximity to NOAA 13619 and NOAA 13622. Thus, NOAA 13625 will continue to be the target region for a further 24 hours. Additional B-class activities are expected, with low C-class flares probable in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13625 on 2-Apr-2024 at 11:30 UT is: N13W85 (931", 233") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Qiao Li (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
