Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has dropped to a ~B4 level since the last message. Only one B6.7 flare was recorded at 21:18 UT on 6-Apr-2024 from the target region. This region has been numbered as NOAA 13633, with an alpha/H-type magnetic configuration. It shows an emergence of negative magnetic fluxes in its leading portion. 13633 should remain with the target region. In addition, NOAA 13628 (N07E21, alpha/H-type) and NOAA 13629 (N05W48, beta/D-type) have continued to increase in the sunspot area. Continued B-class activities are expected with additional low-C flares likely in the coming days. The position of NOAA 13633 on 7-Apr-2024 at 11:30 UT is: S09E64 (-852", -104") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Qiao Li (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
