Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has increased since the last message. A number of flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being an X1.7 from NOAA 13663 at 02:11 UT today. NOAA 13663 has evolved into a beta-delta type region and continues to show dynamic sunspot behaviour. The target region will now switch to NOAA 13663 and the Major Flare Watch will continue. Additional >M5 activity is possible in the next 24-48 hours. The position of NOAA 13663 on 03-May-2024 at 11:30 UT is: N26E03, (-44",475") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
