Dear Collaborators, Solar activity remains at an elevated level. NOAA 13663 has produced a significant number of flares, the largest being an X4.5 at 05:38 UT today. NOAA 13663 continues to show signs of substantial flux and sunspot dynamism. The Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13663 as the target region. Further M-class activity is expected, with a chance for further >M5 activity in the next 24-48 hours. The position of NOAA 13663 on 06-May-2024 at 11:30 UT is: N26W38, (527",459") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
