Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a high level. NOAA 13664 produced a number of substantial flares in the last 24 hours, the largest being an X5.8 at 01:10 UT today. NOAA 13664 has grown significantly to reach an approximate size of 2400 μh. The Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13664 as the target region as it begins to approach the southwest limb. Additional M-class activity is expected, with a chance for further >M5 flares in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13664 on 11-May-2024 at 07:30 UT is: S17W52, (717",-248") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
