Solar activity was at a high level in the past 24 hours. The largest event since the last message was an occulted X8.7 flare at 16:46 UT on May 14 produced by the target limb region NOAA 13664. This X8.7 is also the largest event in the solar cycle 25 so far. Besides, 13664 produced another X1.7 and X1.2 flares plus numerous M-class flares. Today we will continue the Major Flare Watch campaign for one more day. Please note that some other regions also produced several M-class flares, e.g., an M1.1 from 13674 (beta/C-type), an M4.5 from 13680 (beta/D-type), an M1.3 from 13679 (beta-gamma/D-type). M-class flares are very likely though from various regions in the next 24 hours.
