Dear Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low-to-moderate level. Target region NOAA 13729 has possibly begun its decay with decreasing slightly in sunspot area but increasing number of spots since the last message. NOAA 13729 also gained a delta-spot to become classified as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group and again displayed the highest frequency of flaring in the period, producing several C-class flares. The new region near the South East limb has remained flare quiet since the last message, while NOAA 13730 was again the source of the largest magnitude flare in the period, an M1.5 on 3-Jul-2024 at 07:29 UT, so it becomes the target. Additional C-class flares are expected in the next 24 hours, with a chance for another M-class flare. The position of NOAA 13730 on 3-Jul-2024 at 15:30 UT is: S18W67 , ( 827", -310" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
