Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has been at a moderate level since the last message. NOAA 13738 produced four M-class flares (M1.5, M1.3, M1.4, and M1.2) and 10 C-class flares today. This region retains a beta-gamma/ E-type configuration but increases the number of spots significantly. Today the target will switch back to this region. Yesterday's limb target was designated as NOAA 13742 and only produced a C3.0 flare during the period. Further C-class activities are expected with a good chance of low M-class flares in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13738 on July 10 at 11:30 UT is: S10E08 (-129", -226") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Ying Li (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
