Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity was at a low level in the past 24 hours. The largest event was a C6.5 flare peaking at 13:28 UT today produced by the target region NOAA 13738 (and also 13743?). 13738 retains a beta-gamma/F-type configuration and produced more than ten C-class flares. Further C-class activities are expected with some chance of a low M-class flare in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13738 on July 12 at 15:30 UT is: S08W22 (351", -193") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
