Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a moderate level. The target region NOAA 13751 produced two largest magnitude flares, including an M2.0 at 17:53 UT yesterday and an M1.8 at 07:10 UT today. This region retains its beta-gamma-delta/E-type magnetic configuration and has increased in sunspot area and counts. Today NOAA 13751 shall continue as the Major Flare Watch region. Besides, NOAA 13758 (beta/B-type, S07W75) also produced an M1.0 flare at 22:44 UT yesterday. Additional low-M activity is very likely with a chance of a >M5 flare in the following days. The position of NOAA 13751 at 11:30 UT on 20-Jul-2024 is: S08W06 (98", -210") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
