Dear Collaborators, Solar activity levels remain moderate. A number of flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being an M5.3 from NOAA 13784 at 15:39 UT today. Since the last message, NOAA 13784 has grown to 700 μh and remains classified as a beta-gamma-delta type region. This region has shown sustained dynamism in sunspot behaviour. The Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13784 as the target region. Further C- and M-class activity is expected with a chance for an additional >M5 event in the next 24-48 hours. The position of NOAA 13784 on 15-August-2024 at 11:30 UT is: N14W12, (191",123") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
