Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a low-moderate level. Three M1.4 flares were produced since the last message, two from NOAA 13796 and a third from NOAA 13785. NOAA 13784 has begun its transit of the northwestern limb and still shows signs of emerging flux. However NOAA 13784 has remained relatively quiet. At this time we are ending the Major Flare Watch but NOAA 13784 shall remain the target region. Additional C-class activity is expected, with a slight chance for additional M-class flares in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13784 on 19-August-2024 at 11:30 UT is: N16W67, (840",217") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
