MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 1271 was the source of B-class activity during the past 24 hour period. A new region located just beyond the east limb at approximately S18 also produced a B6.3 event at 05:35 UT today. Target region, 1271 should produce additional minor events before it completes west limb passage. The target will most likely switch to the the east limb region tomorrow.

The position of NOAA 1271 on August 27 at 15:30 UT is: N17W78 (Solar X = 888", Solar Y = 252")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
