Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 12048 has remained quiescent over the past 24 hours on its approach to the western limb and has begun to show signs of decay. NOAA 12049, a large beta-gamma region in the southeast quadrant, was the source of two C1 flares since the last message and shall be the new target region. NOAA 12049 appears to be increasing in both size and complexity and is likely to produce further C-level events.

The position of NOAA 12049 on 30-Apr-2014 at 11:00 UT is:

S07E36, ( -557", -59" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
