MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The target region now numbered NOAA 2157 has rotated over the southeastern limb but is still too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration. It has bright H-alpha plage and appears to have mixed polarities. This region was the source of the long-duration limb occulted M2.5 event yesterday and one of the farside major flares on September 1st. The source region that produced another farside major flare on September 1st is now rotating over the northeastern limb at N15 degrees. NOAA 2157 has the potential to produce another M-class event with even the chance of an M=/>M5 in the next 24 hour period. We will also closely monitor the limb passage of the large active region in the northeast.

The position of NOAA 2157 0n September 04 at 10:30 UT is: S14E81 (Solar X = -913", Solar Y = -247")
