MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Target region NOAA 2157 continues to produce C-class activity. The largest C-class event was a C8.0 at 09/06/08:14 UT. 2157 has an E-type/beta-gamma-delta sunspot group with bright H-alpha plage. The tight magnetic delta configuration is located within the large penumbra of the trailing polarity sunspot. C-class events expected with a good chance of an isolated M-class event and even a chance of an event =/>M5 in the next 24 hour period. NOAA 2158 located in the northeastern quadrant is a large reversed polarity "self-contained" sunspot with opposite polarity spots widely spaced within its single penumbra. 2158 has been stable and quiescent since rotating over the east limb.

The position of NOAA 2157 on September 06 at 15:30 UT is: S14E49 (Solar X =-698", Solar Y = -305")
