Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate-to-high level. NOAA 12192 is the largest, most complex, and most flare-productive region on the visible solar disk. This region has a sunspot area greater than 1500 uh and is now designated as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group. Since the MM#003 Major Flare Watch commenced yesterday on 12192 following an X1.1 flare, this region has produced many C-class and two M-class flares (an M3.9 on 20-Oct-2014 at 09:00 UT and an M4.5 on 20-Oct-2014 at 16:00 UT). The current MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue for at least the next 24 hours because NOAA 12192 retains the potential for further flaring above the M5 level.
The position of NOAA 12192 on 20-Oct-2014 at 18:00 UT is:
S13E33, ( -514", -291" )
