Subject: MM#003 Major Flare Watch" - Date: Mon, 27 Oct 2014 11:52:45 -0700 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity remains at a high level. Further flux emergence within NOAA region 12192 is not readily apparent, but shearing motions can be seen within the main delta-spot, which maintains its beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group designation. The region was responsible for two high M-class and another X-class event (a X2.0 flare on 27-Oct-2014 at 14:47 UT), since the previous message. The current MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue for the next 24-48 hours as NOAA 12192 retains a strong potential for continued flaring above the M5 level. The position of NOAA 12192 on 27-Oct-2014 at 19:00 UT is: S12W56, ( 789", -244" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
