MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
A new region located mostly beyond the northeastern limb was the source of a limb occulted M2.2 event at 11/03/11:53 UT. The region is too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration but there is a large leader sunspot visible in white light images. The default target will switch from NOAA 2201 to the new region today. C-class events expected with the chance of another M-class event possible in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on Nov. 03 at 12:00 UT is: N17E89 (Solar X = -925", Solar Y = 281")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
