Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Wed, 10 Dec 2014 12:02:30 -0800 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low to moderate level. The target region, NOAA 12232, has not released significant activity since the previous message. On the other hand, NOAA 12230 is under- going rapid flux emergence, currently showing a gamma mag- netic classification. It was responsible for a series of high C- class activity, the largest event being a C8.6 flare on 9-Dec- 2014 at 10:24 UT. Further high C-class activity is expected with a chance for an isolated M-class event. The position of NOAA 12230 on 10-Dec-2014 at 16:35 UT is: S14E12 ( -197", -231" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
