Subject: MM#003 Major Flare Watch" -

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low to moderate level. Yesterday's target (NOAA 12253) was responsible for the largest event since the previous message, a M1.1 flare on 02-Jan-2015 at 09:47 UT, as well as further C-class events. The mixed polarity spot in the leading portion of the region has weakened somewhat, but still maintains the capacity to release a >M5 flare. The MFW will continue for at least the following 24 hours. Further C-class activity is expected with the chance for a >M5 event.
The position of NOAA 12253 on 03-Jan-2015 at 16:35 UT is:
S06E12 ( -202", -47" )
