Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is currently at a low level. Yesterday's target (now designated as 12259) was responsible for further low C-class activity. The region has not evolved significantly and exhibits a simple magnetic cconfiguration. On the other hand, NOAA 12257 has been actively emerging and now shows evidence for a gamma configuration. The region was responsible for the largest event since the previous message, a C9.6 flare on 09-Jan-2014 at 08:17 UT. Further C-class activity is expected with a chance for a low M-class event.
The position of NOAA 12257 on 09-Jan-2015 at 20:35 UT is:
N05W28 ( 457", 144" )
