Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity continues to be very low. NOAA 12356 has remained the largest spotted region on the visible disk. This region is classified as an alpha/H-type sunspot group and was the source of a couple of low B-class flares since the last message. 12356 has now developed some small pore spots in the trailing flux portion, making it a beta magnetic classification. Further B-class activity is likely over the next 24 hours, with a chance for an isolated C-class event.
The position of NOAA 12356 on 30-May-2015 at 20:30 UT is:
S15E36, ( -536”, -234” )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
