Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at low levels. The target region NOAA 12335 was the source of 5 C1 and 4 high B-level events since the last message. There was a QS-filament eruption at ~16:30 UT yesterday across the southern hemisphere, which was associated with a two-ribbon flare and a halo CME. NOAA 12335 maintains its D-type/beta-gamma magnetic configuration, increasing its spot area and count. It continues to show mixed polarities in its intermediate portion. Low level activity is expected in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12335 on May 3 at 15:35 UT is:
S15E43 (Solar X = -628", Solar Y = ,-200")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
