Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 2396 has decayed slightly within its intermediate portion but is still a large E-type sunspot group with a weak beta-gamma magnetic configuration. 2396 produced 10 C-class events since the last message. The largest was a C5.4 at 08/07/19:41 UT. C-class events probable with the chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2396 on August 08 at 14:35 UT is: S17W07 (Solar X = 110", Solar Y = -374")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
