MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity continues at a very low level. The background x-ray flux is currently flat at the B2.5 level. The largest event in the past 24 hours was a B8.0 at 08/01/01:31 UT. The source region was NOAA 2393 (N17E25). Target region NOAA 2390 is slowly decaying but is maintaining its D-type sunspot group with a weak beta-gamma magnetic configuration. No significant flare activity expected in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2390 on August 01 at 14:35 UT is: S15W75 (Solar X = 882", Solar Y = -267")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
