MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 2403 is maintaining its large F-type/beta-gamma-delta sunspot group. There are small magnetic delta configurations located within the leading and trailing sunspots. 2304 was the source of an isolated M1.0 event at 08/24/17:46 UT. 2403 also produced countless C- and B-class events since the last message. C- and M-class events expected with the chance of an event =/>M5 in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2403 on August 25 at 14:35 UT is: S15W27 (Solar X = 417", Solar Y = -345")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
