Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity was at a moderate level. There were three ~M2 flares produced by the target region NOAA 13685, with the largest one being an M2.5 at 17:47 UT on May 19. 13685 retains a beta-gamma/ E-type configuration but increases in the sunspot area and number of spots. We will continue the Major Flare Watch campaign today with 13685 as the target. Additional M-class flares including a >M5 one are possible in the next two days. The position of NOAA 13685 on May 20 at 03:30 UT is: S13E27 (-420", -184") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
