Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sun, 10 Jul 2016 16:28:48 -0600 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity is at very low levels with the soft X-ray flux flat at ~B2 currently. The target region NOAA 12564 produced the largest event of the period, a C8.6 flare at 00:53 UT on July 10, which was associated with a non-Earth-directed CME. 12564 has been classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group. It is showing some mixed polarities in its negative leading spots, and displaying dynamic surges in H-alpha images. Further isolated C-class event is possible in the next 24 hour period. The position of NOAA 12564 on July 10 at 20:20 UT is: N09E51 (-726", 107") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
