MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target EFR (NOAA 2579) was the source of numerous B-class events since the last message. The largest was a B3.0 at 08/23/03:39 UT. 2579 is currently displaying a compact D-type/beta sunspot group with a weak beta-gamma magnetic configuration and an E-W magnetic inversion line. B-class events probable with the chance of an isolated C-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2579 0n August 23 at 14:30 UT is: N12E08 (Solar X = -129", Solar Y = 084")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
