MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The northeastern limb target region, now numbered NOAA 2672, produced an isolated M1.1 event at 08/20/01:52 UT. It also produced a few B- and C-class events in the past 24 hours. Former target 2671 (F-type/beta-gamma) was the source of a C7.0 event at 08/19/21:55 UT. 2672 is too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration but it has an unusual tilted magnetic inversion line and continues to display bright surges. Both 2671 and 2672 have the potential to produce B- and C-class events with the chance of an M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2672 on August 20 at 17:00 UT is: N07E80 (Solar X = -928", Solar Y = 095")
