MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The activated dark filament in target region NOAA 2672 (N07W15, E-type/beta) mentioned in the message yesterday became destabilized and erupted around 20:45 UT and was associated with a weak double ribbon flare and a B5.4 event at 08/26/21:00 UT. The largest event since the last message was a limb occulted C6.3 at 08/27/15:16 UT produced by NOAA 2671 located on the northwestern limb. 2672 continues in decay phase. The target will switch to 2671. Another C-class limb event is possible in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 2671 on August 27 at 13:30 UT is: N14W91 (Solar X = 920", Solar Y = 229")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
