MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is extremely low. No reportable flare events for several days. The current visible disk is spotless. The background x-ray flux is steady at the A4 level. The target filament which is located on the magnetic inversion line of an old, weak plage remnant has almost entirely disappeared with only a small dark segment located on its northern portion. No significant solar flare activity expected anytime soon.
The position of the filament target on October 14 at 07:15 UT is: N25W26 (Solar X = 386", Solar Y = 325")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
