NOAA 13590 remains classified as a beta-gamma-delta type region and currently has a sunspot area of 900 μh. This region continues to show significant flux and dynamic sunspot motion. The Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13590 as the target region. Additional >M5 activity is expected over the next 24-48 hours . The position of NOAA 13590 on 23-Feb-2024 at 12:30 UT is: N18E19, (-301",406") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
