Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained low since the last message. NOAA 13590 produced a number of C-class flares, the largest being an C3.5 at 07:14 UT today. NOAA 13590 remains classified as a beta-gamma-delta type region, however it has reduced in area to 1130 μh. This region also appears to have shown a reduction in dynamic sunspot behaviour and flux. Given the sustained complexity of NOAA 13590, the Major Flare Watch will be extended for what might be a final 24 hours. C-class activity is expected with a slight chance for isolated >M5 activity. The position of NOAA 13590 on 27-Feb-2024 at 12:30 UT is: N18W38, (568",388") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
