Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. Target region NOAA 13599 has again grew slightly since the last message, but also increased in magnetic complexity through developing a weak delta configuration to be classified as a beta-gamma-delta/D-type sunspot group. NOAA 13599 continued to be the most flare-productive region on the disk by generating six C-class flares in the period, the largest being a C2.7 on 7-Mar-2024 at 23:48 UT. Additional C-class activity is expected over the following 24-hour period, with a chance for a low M-class flare. The position of NOAA 13599 on 8-Mar-2024 at 12:30 UT is: S12W09 , ( 147", -82" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
