Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The active region behind the southeast limb that produced the M1.1 flare yesterday was also the source of a long-duration M2.3 flare that began at 19:00 UT yesterday, and is still ongoing at the time of writing. At this time we are implementing a DST Service Mode Support campaign with this active region as the chosen target. Weather at the facility is predicted to be good for tomorrow (Thursday), and the target region should be visible at the limb for observing between 15-18 UT. Good chance for additional mid-level activity over the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target region on 15-Oct-2014 at 16:00 UT is:
S11E76, ( -918", -205" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
