Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a low level. The largest event since the last message was a C1.4 at 9:00 UT on January 25 produced by an unnumbered region near the northeastern limb (N09E63). The target region NOAA 12488 only produced several B-class flares in the past 24 hours. 12488 remains its beta/D-type sunspot group with increasing in spot area and number of spots. It is showing some mixed polarities in its leading negative spot. Some low level activities are expected in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 12488 on January 25 at 15:35 UT is:
N04W10 (Solar X = 169", Solar Y = 159")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
