Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sat, 30 Jan 2016 13:50:45 -0700 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, The level of solar activity remains low. There was an isolated and long-duration C-class flare (C2.0 at 20:48 UT on January 29) emanating from the limb region NOAA 12486 (has rotated over the west limb). The flare was related to a filament eruption, also accompanied by a standard CME toward to the southwest direction. The target region NOAA 12488 only produced several low-level B-class events and now has decayed to a beta/D-type region. Only very low level activities are possible in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 12488 on January 30 at 18:35 UT is: N04W79 (Solar X = 954", Solar Y = 86") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
