Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. The largest event since the last message was a B9.1 at 21:20 UT on January 30 produced by the target region NOAA 12488. 12488 also produced another two B-class flares (B5.3 and B6.0). 12488 continues to decay and is rotating over the west limb with some high-lying loops above the limb. We will watch this region for one more day, and may switch to a yet-unnumbered region at the northeastern limb tomorrow. No significant activities are expected in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 12488 on January 31 at 15:30 UT is:
N04W91 (Solar X = 970", Solar Y = 65")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
