Subject: MM#003 Major Flare Watch" -

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate-to-high. Activity continues to be dominated by NOAA region 12192 that has grown in sunspot area to 2700 uh - the largest spot area recorded since NOAA 10486 during the Halloween storms of 2003. This active region has maintained a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group classification and continues to emerge new magnetic flux. NOAA 12192 has produced several C-class flares since the last message and an M1.1 on 23-Oct-2014 at 09:44 UT. The current MM#003 Major Flare Watch will remain in effect for the next 24 hours as NOAA 12192 retains the potential for more flaring above the M5 level.
